The "civilizing" pedagogy of the North american colony of Topolobampo

Abstract
Of the many diverse research angles on the settlement of the North American colony that followed a socialist utopia in the area around Topolobampo at the end of the 19th century, this work presents an analysis of the educational strategies developed by the colonists; specifically, it explains the elements of their civilizing pedagogy characterized by: a) the ideas that were considered advanced in the social and economic organization corresponding to the supposed utopian socialism, the familistery and the development of an egalitarian community, b) the proposals of feminism, c) the promotion of basic education, d) intercultural education based on interrelations with Mexicans and Mayo Yoremes and e) editorial production, among other categories that impacted the North of the State of Sinaloa.
